What we do.

Will C. Wood’s Service Leadership (SL) program empowers young leaders to contribute to their communities in meaningful ways.  SL as a class exists to answer the questions:

  • How can we help?

  • What does it mean to help?

  • How can we help by enacting our Mission which is to build awareness, spread compassion and take action?

  • What does it mean to help in terms of thinking about how we can best use human and social capital to make a difference.

SL students have the opportunity to:

  • Affect positive change within our local and global communities

  • Create and execute service projects

  • Develop their perspectives on ethics, diversity, philanthropy, compassion and human rights

  • This is a University of California approved Elective Course.

UC Course Approval

Students are able to fulfill part of their "G" elective credits for college admissions with this course. This means colleges recognize the course as an academic elective and give students admissions credit under their “G” elective requirements.
