1st period Academic Success


  •  Senior Trip contracts and deposit are due by Friday, October 5th or sooner in room C7. If you have questions, see Mrs. Abin.

Juniors & Seniors:

  •  The A.S.V.A.B. (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) will be held on September 27th in the library from 8 AM – 11:30 AM. Sign up in the career center, with Mrs. Torres.


  •  Sign up for the PSAT in the Counseling office with Mrs. Caler before school, at lunch or after school. The cost is $20.00, and sign-ups end on Thursday, September 27th.  The test will be held on October 10th.

All students:

  • Homecoming Dance tickets are on sale Wildcats at the window at A11 during lunchtime. They are $8 if you have a Blue Cat Pass and $10 if you do not.  If you have a Cat Pack, YOU MUST CLAIM YOUR TICKET.   Tickets at the gate are $15 for EVERYONE, so PLEASE get/claim your ticket this week at lunch!



  • Winter Sport Tryouts Start Oct. 29th-  You must complete athletic, have a current physical, and concussion test to tryout. Winter sports are: boys’ and girls’ basketball, soccer, and wrestling.


  • All Winter and Spring athletes:  Concussion testing is TODAY, in room M9 at 4:00pm

Club and Meeting Info:


  • GSA meets at lunch TODAY in room S2.


  • FOREVER FRIENDS meets in room M11 at lunch time TODAY.

Magellan sets out


In 1519,Portuguese navigator Ferdinand Magellan sets sail from Spain in an effort to find a western sea route to the rich Spice Islands of Indonesia. In command of five ships and 270 men, Magellan sailed to West Africa and then to Brazil, where he searched the South American coast for a strait that would take him to the Pacific
