    WCW Graduating Seniors

This is your only high school graduation and it is planned so that it will be a dignified and memorable occasion for members of the Class of 2019 and their families.  The graduation ceremony will be held at 7:00 P.M. Friday, June 7 at OUR Wildcat Stadium.  The required dress code must be adhered to.  Attire is dressy.  For ladies this means dresses, skirts or nice pants; for men it means dress shirts with a collar and slacks.  No shorts or jeans are permitted.  Since this is a dignified occasion, wear shoes, not flip-flops.  All graduates must wear a cap and gown.  See Mr. Landeros if this is a problem. You will be allowed to decorate your cap--See the back of this for exact guidelines. Those who do not choose to dress appropriately will not participate in the ceremony.  Bring bobby pins to help keep your hats on because the wind can get strong out on the field.

Graduates are expected to participate cooperatively in the ceremony by entering and leaving the field in an orderly manner, following directions of the graduation advisors and being courteous to student speakers, fellow graduates and families.  If the school administrators or advisors feel that a member of the class is not conforming to established dress or behavior standards, that person may be removed from the graduation ceremony at any time.  Also, a senior who disrupts graduation will not be allowed to participate in “Grad Nite”.  Participation in the graduation ceremony is not a requirement, but if you are planning to participate, your attendance at the planning meetings is mandatory.  One will be a meeting held third period Friday, May 31 at WCW at 10:50am in the Theater.  The other will be rehearsal Friday morning, June 7 at Wildcat Stadium.

Information about graduation caps can be found HERE.

At graduation practice on Friday morning June 7 BY 10:00am:

    1. Graduating seniors will report to the grass area behind the discus/shot put area by the Wildcat stadium by 10 am.  Please be on time.
    2. Seniors will be divided into groups of about 25 in alphabetical order.  Graduation advisors will have placards indicating their alphabetical groups.
    3. Once all seniors have taken their seats, some general announcements will be made and specific procedures to be followed during the ceremony will be explained and practiced.
    4. After final announcements have been made, all seniors will march out of the stadium.  You may wish to bring a water bottle to practice, particularly if the weather is warm.  Students should leave the campus immediately after practice.

At the graduation ceremony on Friday, June 7:
