Feed Our Families!

Latinos Unidos has run the Holiday Canned Food Drive for the past 7 years and all donations have gone to the Solano County Food Bank. This year we have decided to join forces with Link Crew and change our mission to helping families at Will C. Wood. It starts on Monday, November 14th and runs through Thursday, December 15th. All donations go to 3rd period teachers. Our GOAL is to feed 100 families if not more. The class with the most donations will win a pizza party.

All students were provided a flier with the above information as well as a list of items needed. Please do not donate perishable items. We also do not want items packaged in glass. If you have paper bags to donate, please send them to room C7.  If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Abin or Ms. Ruiz.

nolan sullivan

Superintendent Jane Shamieh and Board of Education President Shelley Dally presented Board member Nolan Sullivan with an award of appreciation for his years of service on the VUSD Board. Mr. Sullivan has a long history of serving students, not only as a Board member, but as the Chief Organizer for Measure A, the President of the Vacaville Public Education Foundation (VPEF) the Chair of Loop the Lagoon charity run and more. Nolan did not run for re-election so that he could spend more time with his young family, but we expect he will continue to have a strong and positive presence in our community. Thank you Nolan for all that you do.
